Youth And Tragedy

Alfred North Whitehead once said " the deepest definition of youth is life as yet untouched by tragedy" how true does that seem to all of those around us in are present cruel world. The only people who truly have their youth are those who are still to young to understand the great joys and happiness one only has as child, and even they can not wait to shed their childhood and swap it for adulthood. It almost sounds like two young boys swapping football cards with each other on a playground, though isn't that what life really is? is life really just one big playground that 7,038,044,500 people play on everyday? or is it so much more than that?. " the deepest definition of youth is untouched by tragedy" is this statement is true? and if so how many of us are really that youthful?. Tragedy eventually taints everyone, covering pure untainted souls with black clocks and rose colored glassess. Though there is one question that still needs to be asked, can we regain are youth? I believe that it is possible, though the strategy is harder done then said. How many of us have tried to fight tragedy entering our lives? Many have, thus the only thing that truly matters is if we overcome the tragedy which has entered inside us, the tragedy that we gave permission to come inside us.I believe it is possible to find youth after one has been tainted. All we have to do is fight, if tragedy has entered its way inside of you, we still hold the control. We can win the fight, you have let tragedy enter you can just as easily tell it go away. The war does not end until someone holds up the white flag and its either you or tragedy, who stands in the way of joy and happiness.
