BOREDOM
"The life of the creative man is lead, directed and controlled by boredom. Avoiding boredom is one of our most important purposes."quoted from Susan Sontag. Though putting this quote into consideration is it really possible to avoid boredom? Isn't bordom one of those things you cant cant escape from? Its almost like if you had to overcome everything done in an Indiana Jones movie, would we actually be able to outrun a gigantic rock trying to crush us, swing from dangling lights and collect a lost treasure that the government has been hiding for the past 20 years. We would probably die before any of this would really need to be done if you put this into a real life scenario, instead of an action film. Thus we face the greatest conundrum known to us, avoiding the mediocre term we know as boredom. Thus bringing myself to my point is it really possible to outrun boredom?
Today I somehow managed to have a break from my crazy dysfunctional life as I was completely and utterly bored out of my mind(Which is NOT something which happens very often.). Now dont get me wrong I usually always hope for a break from my own crazy life. Though I will admit now that I regret it terribly, I finally had a day to do absolutely nothing and be in peace and yet I never found it. I was alone in my house all day and could not find anything to entertain myself with, even when I tried to take a nap to escape the boredom it did not cease to go and I just ended up needing to remake my bed. After this I attempted to sit through a movie and eat a frozen pizza. To those reading this going 'Well thats not to bad.' It was, I basically resulted into tearing pieces of pizza, throwing them into the air and catching them with my mouth. Therefore by doing this I created a massive mess that consisted of pizza source and melted cheese all over my living room floor(Damn my terrible aim) and them had to clean it all up( Which is worse than being bored in my opinion.). After the pizza fiasco I then decided to find funny pictures of cats which I found on Google until my parents came home to feed me. A day in my opinion which was highly wasteful, though now that I think about it, something that would be quite funny for other people to know.
Thus bringing me to my final point, are we able to truly escape from the torture known as endless boredom? Or do we have to just flow with it? If you are reading this and you have been bored throughout your life( surely yes because your reading this) let me know and feel free to comment and tell me of your wondrous tales of boredom, or maybe simply tell me how to avoid boredom so I dont need write another crappy submission, and write something a lot more epic and entertaining.

Monopoly
Isn't it amazing when we have so much fun, we forget are problems or conundrums, and dont take notice of the world revolving? Tupac Shakur once said "Its the game of life. Do I win or do I lose? One day they're gonna shut the game down. I gotta have as much fun and go around the board as many times I can before it's my turn to leave." Isn't it amazing that when were having such a good time, we dont even notice ourselves on the Monopoly borad of life. This borad game that we ourselves as people reside in, is full of ups and downs. With this being said life can actually be a simile to Monopoly. In Monopoly we go around the board buying as much as we can, and hoping to land on a community chest or pass go. Isn't this exactly what we do in life? We go to work or school and count down the hours till were allowed to go home and pass go, or if were in school we count down the days we have until the holidays. Life being full of ups and downs is actually so true when you are playing Monopoly as well. How many times do you hope when you roll the dice you dont land on the train station, because your opponent owns all of them and you have to give them a third of the money you have? Doesn't this relate to everyones lives so much? Yes, it of sucked for us, though how good must it felt for your opponent. This is exactly what I mean, life is full of ups and downs and it all depends on balance. Losing a third of your money would of brought you down, though when when your opponent lands on one of the houses you bought, which has ten hotels on it you instantly feel better.
Thus bringing us to how this relates to my overly dysfunioenal life. Last night, for some odd reason I decided to stay up till three am, writing submissions for all of you reading this and post funny photos I found on Google ( I should really get a life). Thus the next morning when I was hellbent in staying in bed till the long hours in the afternoon, I was awoken by my 12 year old cousin who was hellbent on getting me out of bed and stay with him to watch Judge Judy. For all of you reading this and telepathically saying to me " What 12 year old watches Judge Judy?" (Insert confused voice). I would admit I kinda got him into it, as being my crazy self would often scream at the television calling them all idiots. Though I guess im pretty much an idiot as well, considering I know that they can't hear me yet I still continue yelling. Anyway back to the story( isn't 'anyway' such a good word? It gets you of everything), after this I was forced to buy Christmas presents with my older brother while I was still half asleep. Though being half asleep, with an overly energetic 12 year old, a bossy brother and in David Jones does have its consequences. If toughs reading this don't know what David Jones is, its basically one massive store, thats way too big for my standards, Though that may be a bias opinion because I hate running and was forced to fun after my cousin, while looking for presents. Thus when we finally arrived home you would think that my dear little cousin would be tired after running around for 2 hours? The answer, no he wasn't, he decided he wanted me to go swimming with him. The thing I hate most in the world, im pretty sure I looked like a soaking wet cat, glaring at everything.
Therefore continuing the game of Monopoly we have to play for about 70 plus years. The whole point of the submission is that no matter what we do, were always gonna have ups and downs and theres not much that we can do about it, because thats what life is. One gigantic Monopoly game that lasts for about 70 years with about 7 billion people playing all at once. Were all going to have are bad and good days, Today seemed to be my bad day considering all the mental torture iv'e been through in the past 24 hours, or 11 hours if you consider from when my cousin came to my house. Though I know that im going to get my good day sooner or later, and when I do I know its going to be pretty epic.

Crazy
I dont know about the people reading this but has anyone every thought that you, as in yourself are crazy? The quote " The question that sometimes drives me hazy: am I , or the others crazy" by Albert Einstein. I dont know what I am really supposed to believe anymore. Am i really just crazy or am I actually just looking into the opposite end of a telescope? Is there really a right way to look into a telescope though? When we look into both ends of a telescope a different picture appears than before, correct, and the whole point of a telescope is to see, thus is there really a correct way to look into a telescope? Though I do suppose I am going crazy as im writing more about a telescope than myself actually believing I may be unhinged, or maybe I could of possibly been dropped when was a young child. Thus depriving me of stability and making me unbalanced. Yes that has to be it, im not crazy im just a 16 year old girl with deprived stability and unbalanced. Though enough with the jokes, does anyone who is reading this ever feel like they are crazy? And I dont mean the crazy were you go of on a murder spree or something horrible such as that. The kind of crazy were your so tired you can fall asleep standing up and as a way to avoid sleep, you stick sticky tape on your eyes to keep you awake and walk around public areas with lots of people? Im guessing not.
Though am I really crazy or am I just special? Maybe I have more imagination than most, though im not crazy. I would say im just a de-functional teenage girl, Yeah nothing crazy about that. Maybe we are all crazy and just dont know it yet. How many of us have walked down a street and looked at someone who is talking to themselves and said "Man, they are crazy" and then someone walks by you and sees you talking to yourself and they say "Man, they are crazy". Thus only creating continuous line of people who think other people are crazy when they very well may not be. Wouldn't it make us all crazy though? As we have all talked to our selves by saying they are crazy. Maybe were all just a little crazy and we haven't figured it out yet. Maybe one day people will realize their just as crazy as I am.

Remarkable
"Nothing is so common as the wish to be remarkable" quoted by William Shakespeare. How many of us in our modern day society feel the need to be remarkable? Feel the common need to excel in everything that we do? Weither its our studies or who's the most popular girl in the school. Has anyone ever noticed how much in our school lives that we compete with everyone around us, weither its our best friends, teachers, or even an acquaintance? Though why do we do it in the first place, why must we feel that constant need of being remarkable? To please someone? And if so who? William Shakespeare wrote this approximately 400 years ago, yet it fits into our lives like a missing jigsaw piece. Though if we become remarkable what would happen?
To me personally I believe that at least once in our lives everyone has that impossible wish to be remarkable. Though its not all its cracked up to be. When I was in primary I didn't have many friends and wished to be remarkable so I could be popular. You know when they say be carful what you wish for? That was one of those times. I made a lot of friends and became popular and got really good grades, then the people in my friendship group began to talk about me. Thus after that I basically became mute, as I lost all my confidence to talk infront of people. I then got out of the group and roamed for other friendship groups to join some rejected me and that hurt, though I eventually found the friendship group im in today. Even though I found a good friendship group, I cant help but think how much better I would be if i didn't wish to be remarkable. I love the friends I have now, though I cant help but think the confidence that I once had I wont ever be able to get back.
Being Remarkable is different depending on who you are, and remarkable means different things to different people. To me I thought being remarkable was someone who had everything. Someone who was happy with no worries about anything, with heaps of friends. Though I can guarantee my opinion of what remarkable really is, is different from everybody. My explanation is going to be different to the old man who lives on your street, who passes you everyday as he walks his dog, or maybe the celebrities and trend setters like Lady Gaga. Though even though the explanations of what remarkable is for us may be different to someone else, where all right.

Different
"Today you are you! That is truer than True! There is no one alive who is you-er than you!" By Dr. Seuss. Oh how this quote has summed up everything that truly needs to be said to my generation. Today we are a generation of herders, as all we really do is follow the status que of everyone around us, kinda like sheep except we dont make any sheep noises. But there is some things I want to know, for example, isn't everyone tired of being the same as everyone else instead of us just being us? When people say its ok to be different, I dont believe they mean to come out of the house looking like Edward Collin when he steps into the sun. I believe that this old saying from Dr. Suess suits everyone better than saying " Its ok to be different" because whats more different than you. Going to school and sitting with the so called 'geeks' does not classify you as being one, it does not classify anyone to be called a 'geek' even if they are really smart. No groups of friends should have a name actually, because no one really is what they are called. For all we know they can be the complete opposite from what we expect, because maybe the so called 'goth' at school, secretly has an obsession with hot pink. Just because one person is given name doesn't make it true. Just like my name Maria is actually my real name( i know real shocker though the last name on this thing is fake so I guess that makes up with it) and it means star of the sea. My name does not suit who I am at all. For one im no star, I am actually incredibly shy and have tendencies to be mute for day and refuse to talk(not physically mute, I just dont like to talk, I know im weird considering how much I write on my blog) and sea part, well, I dont think you can find anyone who hates going swimming more than I do.
How many trends are there actually around school? maybe the trend isn't to dress up as a stereotype that people call us, I believe the actual trend is to follow what everyone else is doing. Therefore technically there is only one trend throughout everyones life of teenageerism. Is teenagerisim is really a word? it basically means your entire teenage life. As many of you could see I just made up the word purely because thats what Dr. Seuss did throughout many of his story books when he could find a word that rhymed with another. Though this submission doesn't have anything which rhymes, therefore I dont quite know how this works. Back to the point theres only one trend and thats to follow. Therefore by going by the needless stereotypes where literally just being sheep waiting for the sheepdog to bark orders at us, and I dont think anyone really wants to be a sheep.
Magic Or A Transforming Imagination
J.K Rowling stated in her Harvard commencement address that "We do not need magic to transform our world. We carry all the power we need inside ourselves already. We have the power to imagine better". I will admit sometimes I wonder what the world really means to all of us living on it. That we all have a greater meaning in life and we all go on a massive adventures, and fight and help those who have fallen, almost like a bad blockbuster film. Though is our world really that bad? Do we actually have two worlds? or maybe three!? The people out their who are reading this and are thinking "Yikes this chick is crazy" are probably right. I would think I was crazy to if i randomly come up to myself and say " Hey guess what, we have three worlds" though hear me out. If the imagination has no limitations, there can be as many worlds a person wants. I personally have three worlds which are 1. realistic world, were everything I do has a consequence and real sad world problem events are. 2. The me world, were I just dont think about all the bad stuff going around in are world and just focus on me. 3. The magic world were I pretend that im a superhero with all the these awesome powers, and plays non stop Pokemon games when I come home from saving everyone in the city.
Now I do agree that we dont need magic to solve are problems because think of it like this, If we all used magic to suddenly make all the problems disappear, wouldn't everything just disappear?, if we put an invisibility clock(H.P Reference die heart fan) over all of the problems there wouldn't be anything left. Both problems big and small are going to be hidden under that invisibility clock including all of the people who are reading this because out of the approximate 7 billion people in the world some of those people have to have cyberphobia, and we might be a problem to them. So them wouldn't that technically mean we are all a problem for someone even though they dont know us personally.
Though if we used are imagination to change things wouldn't the out come turn out so much better then throwing an invisibility clock over it. Take my three worlds for instance, my first world is the real world which everyone is involved because its everyones problem, though my third world is completely different. My third world is more likely to occur in a comic book from a news agency than in real life. Though is this because its impossible, or we just cant create another world using are imagination? How many of us know whats going to happen tomorrow or maybe the day after that, unless maybe your an all seeing psychic and if you are how can you be certain? For all I know I could wake up with really cool powers tomorrow, though thats not the point. The point is what is the point of having an imagination if you cant change anything with it? It doesn't have to be something big like jumping in toxic waste or being tossed in an atomic reactor. It could be something small like creating your own imaginary world like i did and start writing a blog, or what J.K Rowling did write a book about your imagination and help many people though your words.

Alls Fair In Love And War
John Lylys once said " The rules of fairplay do not apply in love and war" how true is this statement. How many of us have lost something due to love? I have and im guessing everyone reading this has too. Either way when fighting in a war or a battle of love, we all lose something at both ends of the spectrum. But why though? Why do we risk friendship for an absurd fantasy of love? How can we really know that we ourselves actually know what love is? is love when you feel butterflies in your stomach or getting sweaty palms? because that sounds more like an illness than love. Is love actually an illness maybe? And why jeopardize those around us to have more than we already do? It does not make sense. Im asking myself this as its already happened to me. Though mine wasn't one of happily ever after love in fairytales where the maiden is in love with the prince. In my story its more like, maiden wanted another friend to go to the arcade with her. No fairytale love or outrageous adventures, just two people honestly talking about things I was scared to admit to my other friends and versing each other in car racing games.
I am a girl and I have know idea why I do half the things I do, and this is one of them. I didn't mean to upset my friends by doing this and I was sorry when they told me, it wasn't ok. I guess now i understand why it isn't but before I didn't. The story begins where my best friend had another guy friend and stupid me thinking they were just friends. even though both parties said they were just friends. This brings my second point, why do we send mixed signals to people? if we dont want something to happen shouldn't we just tell that person, instead of sending them on a wild goose chase ? isn't honesty the policy anymore or has it been conquered by lies? Anyways back to the story, I began talk and hang out with such guy friend and tell my best friend, now things are uncertain as she hasn't answered any of my calls or texts this morning, though im pretty sure she's still mad. Even though nothing has happened between me and such guy friend, I know that are friendship will be on the rocks for a while. Now this brings my third point, Why do people say were just friends if its not true? if you like a person and you say were just friends, shouldn't we also say that we also have other feelings for them? let me know in the comments below because im pretty sure im losing my mind on this teenage dilemma.

Youth And Tragedy
Alfred North Whitehead once said " the deepest definition of youth is life as yet untouched by tragedy" how true does that seem to all of those around us in are present cruel world. The only people who truly have their youth are those who are still to young to understand the great joys and happiness one only has as child, and even they can not wait to shed their childhood and swap it for adulthood. It almost sounds like two young boys swapping football cards with each other on a playground, though isn't that what life really is? is life really just one big playground that 7,038,044,500 people play on everyday? or is it so much more than that?. " the deepest definition of youth is untouched by tragedy" is this statement is true? and if so how many of us are really that youthful?. Tragedy eventually taints everyone, covering pure untainted souls with black clocks and rose colored glassess. Though there is one question that still needs to be asked, can we regain are youth? I believe that it is possible, though the strategy is harder done then said. How many of us have tried to fight tragedy entering our lives? Many have, thus the only thing that truly matters is if we overcome the tragedy which has entered inside us, the tragedy that we gave permission to come inside us.I believe it is possible to find youth after one has been tainted. All we have to do is fight, if tragedy has entered its way inside of you, we still hold the control. We can win the fight, you have let tragedy enter you can just as easily tell it go away. The war does not end until someone holds up the white flag and its either you or tragedy, who stands in the way of joy and happiness.
